Political education

Votes at 16 is great idea- but we need more education as many people are unaware of what they’re voting for. I think non biased, simple political education is necessary in year 10/11 to highlight the basics of welsh and UK politics and to highlight what left/right wing idleologies are and a GCSE politics course should be available. This will make political votes made at 16 more educated. It is vital the education is made as non biased as possible.

Why the contribution is important

It is vitally idea for these to be in place, as young people are the future of Wales and need to know about politics to help shape the country. I think with votes at 16 coming into place, the fight to vote has been on for years, and women had to fight to vote so it is important to teach young people the vitally and privilege to be able to make such a decision.
