The Welsh Government provide different forms of financial and other support to individual businesses for a range of purposes. Its Prosperity for All strategy and its Economic Contract provide the new strategic direction for providing financial support for business.

However, previous Auditor General reports along with the Public Accounts Committee and the media, have highlighting examples of projects that received Welsh Government financial support but did not deliver the intended benefits.

The Public Accounts Committee have agreed to hold an inquiry into Welsh Government Financial Support for Business following a report by the Auditor General for Wales, Welsh Government Financial Support for Business  on 29 November 2018.

How you can get involved

Is Business Wales playing the full role they are supposed to in signposting businesses?

Are many businesses generally unaware of what types of finance are available?

What is your opinion on accessing financial support from the Welsh Government?

We want to hear your views and experiences, which will inform the work of the Committee.

To start the debate, we have posted some themes for you to respond to. But feel free to post your own ideas and start a new conversation

You can submit your ideas up to Monday 17 June.

Further information on the committee can be found on the committee’s web page. And you can keep up to date by following the committees twitter account @SeneddPAC

If you have any queries, please e-mail rhayna.mann2@assembly.wales.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, we would kindly request that you do not include any information that would identify you. We would however be grateful if you would provide your location and a brief description of your circumstances (current or former benefit claimant, etc) for context.

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn darparu mathau gwahanol o gymorth ariannol a chymorth arall i fusnesau unigol at ystod o ddibenion. Mae ei strategaeth Ffyniant i Bawb a'i Chontract Economaidd yn nodi’r cyfeiriad strategol newydd ar gyfer darparu cymorth ariannol i fusnesau.

Fodd bynnag, mae adolygiadau blaenorol yr Archwilydd Cyffredinol, yn ogystal â’r Pwyllgor Cyfrifon Cyhoeddus a'r cyfryngau'n tynnu sylw at enghreifftiau o brosiectau a gafodd gymorth ariannol gan Lywodraeth Cymru ond na wnaeth gyflawni’r manteision a fwriadwyd.

Cytunodd y Pwyllgor Cyfrifon Cyhoeddus i gynnal ymchwiliad i Gymorth Ariannol Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer Busnesau yn dilyn adroddiad a gyhoeddwyd gan Archwilydd Cyffredinol Cymru, Cymorth Ariannol Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer Busnesau ar 29 Tachwedd 2018.

Sut y gallwch gymryd rhan?

A yw Busnes Cymru yn chwarae'r rôl lawn fel y dylai wrth gyfeirio busnesau?

A yw llawer o fusnesau yn gyffredinol yn anymwybodol o'r mathau o gyllid sydd ar gael?

Beth yw eich barn o ran cael cymorth ariannol gan Lywodraeth Cymru?

Rydym am glywed eich barn a'ch profiadau, a fydd yn llywio gwaith y Pwyllgor.

I ddechrau'r ddadl, rydym wedi postio rhai themâu i chi ymateb iddynt.  Ond mae croeso i chi bostio'ch syniadau eich hun a dechrau sgwrs newydd

Mae gennych tan Dydd Llun 17 Mehefin i gyflwyno eich syniadau.

Mae rhagor o wybodaeth am y pwyllgor ar gael ar dudalen y pwyllgor ar y we. Gallwch gael y wybodaeth ddiweddaraf drwy ddilyn cyfrif twitter y pwyllgor @SeneddArchwilio

Os oes gennych ymholiadau, anfonwch e-bost at rhayna.mann2@cynulliad.cymru.

Os ydych am i'ch sylwadau aros yn ddienw, gofynnwn yn garedig ichi beidio â chynnwys unrhyw wybodaeth a fyddai'n galluogi i rywun eich adnabod. Fodd bynnag, byddem yn ddiolchgar pe byddech yn nodi eich lleoliad a disgrifiad byr o'ch amgylchiadau (person sy’n hawlio budd-daliadau neu a fu’n hawlio budd-daliadau ac ati) o ran cyd-destun.
